IronPort E-Learning Training

IronPort E-Learning courses provide you with valuable technical training and product update information. The courses are Web-based, self-guided modules that are available on-demand, at your own convenience.

The IronPort e-learning curriculum includes the following:

  • Quick Learning Modules (QLM’s): These provide product overview, presentations, discussions, and product release updates.
  • E-Tutorials: These tutorials offer simulations and exercises to provide the learner with an interactive online training experience. Select courses also include quizzes to test your knowledge on the topics covered.

 

  Email Security Courses
  Data Loss Prevention This E-Tutorial demonstrates how to configure Data loss prevention and Content filtering for the IronPort email security appliance. 23 minutes Register
  Domain Keys Identified Mail (DKIM) This E-Tutorial demonstrates how to enable outbound signing of messages for authentication. It shows how to publish DNS text records, verify inbound messages, and how to check that DKIM is working properly. 8 minutes Register
  Introduction to Email Messaging This module is designed to provide attendees with a basic understanding of SMTP, Message Bouncing and ESMTP.
This is a prerequisite to any Email Security Instructor-led course.

  Safelists/Blocklists This E-Tutorial demonstrates how end users can block all email from certain senders, and how they can create personal whitelists to bypass spam filtering for other senders. 9 minutes Register
  Sender Policy Framework (SPF) This E-Tutorial demonstrates the basics of SPF, and how to configure your appliance to perform SPF verification.

  Smart Identifiers & Dictionary Weighting This E-Tutorial demonstrates how to filter and take action on messages containing credit card numbers, ABA, CUISP and Social Security numbers. It also demonstrates how to give some words higher importance when filtering. 8 minutes Register

  Introduction to HTTP/HTTPS This course is designed to provide attendees with a basic understanding of HTTP, HTTPS, proxy servers and WCCP.
This course is a prerequisite for any Web Security Instructor-led training course.

  Reporting with Sawmill This E-Tutorial demonstrates discusses the basics of how to use the centralized reporting features of Sawmill for the IronPort web security appliance. It demonstrates how to change log processing options, table options, date ranges and filters. It also shows how to find the data and relationships you are interested in by using zoom-to-reports and overview reports.   Web Reputation This E-Tutorial demonstrates how to use SenderBase and web reputation filtering, plus how to customize WBRS in your access policies 5.6.0 and later. 25 minutes Register

  Centralized Reporting and Tracking This module discusses the features of AsyncOS 6.0 as it relates to the C and M-Series. 60 minutes Register
  Email Encryption This module discusses how to recognize an IronPort PXE encrypted message, configure an encryption profile, provision the Cisco Registered Envelope Service (CRES), and associate a content filtering rule with an "Encrypt" action. 45 minutes Register

  What's New in AsyncOS 6.4 for Security Management (Email) This module discusses the M-Series functionality provided by AsyncOS 6.4 that is related to the IronPort email security appliance.
